There are four ways to define this connection:

• Baptism (Infant and Children)
  • Sacrament of initiation and incorporation into the body of Christ
• Full Member (Youth to Adult)
  • Join the church as a full member through the official UMC process
  • Enjoy fellowship, serve and support the UMC mission, grow in faith and Christian relationships, receive pastoral care, hold office
  • Prerequisites:
    • Profession of Faith, if you have never joined another church
    • Letter of Transfer, if you are moving your membership
    • Baptism (proof of earlier baptism or being baptized as part of the joining process)
• Affiliate/Associate Member
  • Enroll at Prospect while maintaining membership in another (home) church
  • Enjoy fellowship, serve and support the UMC mission, grow in faith and Christian relationships, receive pastoral care, hold office
  • Reported as professing member of home church
• Friend of Prospect (non-member)
  • Associate with the church family in a neighborly manner and support the church
  • Experience being part of church life at Prospect
